The jury reserves the right to grant additional awards. Each author can receive only one award in each section. The decision of the jury is final and irrevocable, complaints are not possible.<\/p>\n

IMPORTANT:<\/strong> Digital files uploaded in the PRINT section will not be judged. The judging will be done on the PRINTS handed in by postal mail. If no PRINTS are entered by postal mail, the PRINTS section will not be judged.<\/p>\n

7. Submission of Works<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Size of photos schematically<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Format of photographs in digital sections<\/strong>
\nAny participant can submit up to 4 photographs under each theme (maximum 16 photographs in 4 themes).
\nPhotographs are accepted in electronic form only.
\nFor print themes is required to upload an electronic form on the website, although it is sent as paper prints.
\nFormat of photographs: JPG
\nSize of photographs:The longest side of the photo must be 1920px, and the resolution must be 300 dpi
\nFile compression must be between 7 and 12
\nMemory size of the file must not exceed 2 Mb<\/p>\n

Projecting device is Samsung 5100 Class Full HD 40″, 1920×1028<\/strong><\/p>\n

IMPORTANT NOTICE \/ FIAP REGULATIONS<\/strong>:
\n\u201eWith the sole act of submitting his\/her images or files to a salon under FIAP Patronage, the entrant accepts without exception and with no objection\u00a0that the submitted images can be investigated by FIAP to establish if these obey to FIAP regulations and definitions even if the entrant is not a member of FIAP;\u00a0\u00a0that FIAP will use any means at its disposal for this undertaking;\u00a0that any refusal to cooperate with FIAP or any refusal to submit the original files as captured by the camera, or failure to provide sufficient evidence, will be sanctioned by FIAP and\u00a0that in case of sanctions following the non compliance with FIAP regulations, the name of the entrant will be released in any form useful to inform the breaches of the rules.\u00a0It is recommended to leave the EXIF data in the submitted files intact in order to ease eventual investigations\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

Format of photographs in print sections<\/strong>
\nThere are two print sections, Open Monochrome and Open Color.<\/p>\n

NOTICE: <\/strong>Upload digital file format of prints to the site application form is also required.
\nThe printed photographs must be unmounted.
\nAny participant can submit up to 4 photographs under each theme (maximum 8 photographs in 2 themes).
\nAuthors can send self-made prints with maximum size 30cm x 40cm or 11,8″ x 15,7″.
\nMinimum size is 20cm x 30cm or 7,8″ x 15,7″.
\nPrints exceeding these sizes will be neither judged nor returned.
\nPackages should be clearly marked on the outside:
\n“Photographs for exhibition only : no commercial value<\/em><\/span>“.
\nAn image converted to Monochrome can not be considered a different image. Each image must have a unique title. Images entered must be entirely the work of the photographer.
\nThe back of each photo must have the following info: first and last name, artist\u2019s address, title of theme, title of the photo, progressive number and total number of photos presented by the same artist (example;\u201d1\/4\u201d, \u201c2\/4\u201d, … ) in each section. No title or identification of the maker shall be written anywhere on the face of an image. The orientation of these details will indicate the orientation of the print. The title written at the back of the photos should match the title mentioned at the application form. In case of nonconformities, photography<\/span> will<\/span> be<\/span> disqualified<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

8. File naming<\/span><\/strong>
\nFile name must be the same as artwork name.
\nFile name must be in English, unique, NOT containing special symbols.
\nExample: sunrise.jpg
\nOnly English letters (a-z) are allowed.
\nPlease limit titles to 25 characters.<\/p>\n

9. Entry form<\/span><\/strong>
\nAuthors must fill out online entry form.<\/p>\n

\nOnly entries sent to this address will be accepted.<\/p>\n

By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his own (aliases are not permitted) and permits the sponsors to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and \/or display in media related to the exhibition. This may include low resolution posting on a website. The exhibition assumes no liability for any misuse of copyright.<\/p>\n

If several persons wish to share one package to economize on postage, that is fine, but the collective entry must be overseen by one person, who collates all the other entries in that package.This person’s email address is the one to which reports will be sent.<\/p>\n

11. Entry fee<\/span><\/a><\/strong>
\nEntry fee for both sections (Digital & PRINT)<\/strong>
\nEntry fee for both sections is unique, no matter how many themes the entrant is participate for – 35<\/strong> Euros or 40<\/strong>$ pay here<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Entry fee only for Digital section (4 Themes)<\/strong>
\nEntry fee for Digital section is mandatory for all participants and is 25 Euros (30$).
\nThe entry fee for Digital section is unique, no matter how many themes the entrant is participate for.<\/p>\n

Entry fee only for PRINT section (2 Themes)<\/strong>
\nEntry fee for PRINT section is mandatory for all participants and is 25 Euros (30$).
\nThe entry fee for PRINT section is unique, no matter how many themes the entrant is participate for.<\/p>\n

12. Return postage<\/span><\/strong>
\nIf prints needs to be returned, return postage in addition to the entry fees must be paid as follows:
\n\u20ac20 per package plus \u20ac0.50 per print or US$25 per package plus US$1 per print.<\/p>\n

Important notice:<\/strong>
\nThe original packing will be used to return entries, and entrants must ensure that their packaging is adequate to be used for their return. If the packaging is not usable, we have no obligation of returning package to sender.<\/p>\n

13. Damage or loss<\/span><\/strong>
\nWhile the greatest care will be taken of entries, the Salon cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage during transport.<\/p>\n

14. Possible ways of payment<\/span><\/strong>
\nPayPal transfer<\/strong>
\nThe participants paying the participation fee through PayPal must specify their names and surnames. On the condition that there is inconsistency between sent photos and PayPal payments, the photos will not be evaluated.
\nWorks by authors who do not pay the registration fee will not be taken into consideration.<\/p>\n

Western Union<\/strong> or Bank transfer<\/p>\n

Other ways of payment<\/strong>
\nAll fees (unless paying by Pay Pal, Western Union or Bank transfer) and any other printouts must be enclosed with the prints, which must be adequately packed.
\nEntries received without the appropriate fee, or paid with foreign cheques or money orders, or prints exceeding the maximum size, will be neither judged nor returned and no catalog will be sent.
\nThe organizers takes responsibility at the moment of uptaking the package. We do not have responsibility for money loss during postal transport.<\/p>\n

15. Exhibition calendar<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Closing date 30. January 2016.
\nJudging: 09 \u2013 13. February 2016.
\nNotification: 23. February 2016.
\nExhibitions of Prints and Digital Projections: 29 and 31 March 2016.
\nSending of catalogs and awards: 30. April 2016.<\/p>\n

16. Report and notifications<\/span><\/strong>
\nAll participants will receive personal report card notifications via e-mail, showing all acceptances and awarded images.
\nThe results of the Exhibition will also be published on organizers website<\/p>\n

17.\u00a0<\/strong>Delivering catalogs<\/span><\/strong>
\nAll entrants will be sent exclusive printed catalog, which will be posted by surface mail. The catalog will be published with awarded photographs and with certain number of photographs chosen by organizer of the Exhibition, without financial compensation for the author royalties. Additional catalogs are also available at an extra fee of 10 euros.<\/p>\n
